This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 27 October, 1959. "At the Ohakea air display yesterday stands of all descriptions were pressed into use. Here spectators on the roof of this car had an excellent view of the display with the aid of a telescope and a portable radio to give them a commentary."
