This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 January, 1964. "These five secondary school A.T.C. cadets were photographed at Ohakea with their instructors. They have been on the station for the past two weeks undergoing a basic flying course. In the background is an Auster trainer. From the left are: Kevin Attwood (Hamilton), Flight Lieutenant H. H.
