The programme from the play "Dear Octopus" by Dodie Smith. The play was performed by the Manawatū Repertory Society at the Palmerston North Opera House on July 19-22, 1952. The play marked the society's 21st birthday. The programme contains an illustration of Repertory House, the theatre company's home base. The house, converted into a small theatre, stood on the corner of Princess and Church Streets. It was used for smaller productions, one-act play nights, play readings and rehearsals.
