This is the programme for the Twenty-First Annual Festival of the Manawatū Competitions Society, which was held in the Opera House and Municipal Hall between 8 May and 13 May 1944. The competition categories included elocution (speech and drama), dance and music (both vocal and instrumental). Most entrants were children or young people. The programme has additional pages bound in, which are annotated with notes about the competitions.
