This is the programme for the Twenty-Second Annual Festival of the Manawatū Competitions Society, which was held in the Opera House, Municipal Hall and St. Andrew's Hall between 7 May and 12 May 1945. The competition categories included elocution (speech and drama), dance and music (both vocal and instrumental). Most entrants were children or young people. The programme belonged to the Stage Manager and has additional pages bound in, which are annotated with notes about the competitions.
