Looking from the corner of Broadway to the corner of Church Street East. Main Street West appears mid-way in the photograph. The buildings (from left) are: [1] Bank of Australasia. [2] Post Office built 1905-1906. The clock mechanism was named after Kerei Te Panau and was removed in November 1942 as an earthquake risk. [3] WF Durward, drapers from 1907-1915 (on the site of the Plaza, once home to the PDC building). [4] Bradfield's Grocery and Crown Studios.
