50 onlookers watched as firefighter Kevin Gardner unsuccessfully attempted a rescue of cat stuck on one spire of All Saint Church. Rather than be caught, the cat leapt off the structure. It was caught by two onlookers, Tony Blyth and Roger Murray, who held out a coat for the cat to fall into.
