Manfeild Motor Circuit, Feilding

Description

The Manfeild Motor Circuit was built by the Manawatu Car Club Inc. in 1973. It was 3.033km long, with pit and garage areas, and hospitality and toilet facilities for the public. In 1990 the track was extended to international standards. In October 2004 the Manfeild Park Trust was created from three original land owners, the Manawatu District Council, Feilding A & P Association and Manawatu Car Club, who deeded the land to form a Trust. Manfeild Park is now 80 hectares in an area bounded by Kawakawa Road, South Street, Rata Street and Kowhai Park.
