Description

The Manfield Motor Circuit was built by the Manawatu Car Club Inc. in 1973. It was 3.033km long, with pit and garages areas, and hospitality and toilet facilities for the public. In 1990 the track was extended to international standards. In October 2004 the Manfield Park Trust was created from three original land owners, the Manawatu District Council, Feilding A & P Association and Manawatu Car Club, who deeded the land to form a Trust. Manfield Park is now 80 hectares in an area bounded by Kawakawa Road, South Street, Rata Street and Kowhai Park.
