Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 May 1961 "A farmer, Mr. R. Wing, who bought his wife and three children from Marton for the day, said he thought the gate prices were reasonable and the parking facilities an improvement on last year. The exhibits were of great general interest, but more of the stalls were of attraction to the city dweller, rather that the farmer."
