A train is running through The Square while people sit on seats alongside. At this time The Square was divided into 5 areas. The central strip contained the train lines, gardens, and a Band Rotunda and the King Edward VII Coronation monument (now Coronation Fountain), built in August 1902, on either side of the tracks. The building on the right is the Child's Commercial Hotel, which stayed on this site until around 1930. The band rotunda was moved to the Esplanade in 1907 and replaced with a new one.
