This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 27th January 1966 "For Air Commodore T.F. Gill, R.N.Z.A.F., his first flight in a Phantom aircraft, was certainly an experience. Piloted by Captain Dean V. Weihe, the aircraft performed a series of simulated low-level skip-bombing runs over the airfield. The Air Commodore is seen framed in the front cockpit before take-off."
