Description

Charles Hoskings was born in Lizard, Cornwall, England, and his wife Mary Jane Hosking (nee Arthur) of Celant, Cornwell, came to New Zealand in 1873 with their five children. Charles founded Woolcock and Hosking's Foundry and Blacksmith in Main Street, Palmerston North, in partnership with Mr William Arthur Woolcock.
