This photograph came from a small photograph album that belonged to Mrs R Andrews of Rangitikei House. This photograph bears the caption, "Dam hydroelectric works, Mangahao. 8 - [illegible] - 1928." The man from 2014P_IMCA-Coolstore_010007 is standing at the far right, next to a woman who could be Mrs R Andrews. The other two figures are unidentified. The Managhao Dam, completed in 1924, is situated inland of Shannon, and continues to supply electricity to a wide area today.
