This is the programme for the Fifth Annual Festival of the Manawatū Competitions Society, which was held in the Opera House and Municipal Hall between 20 May and 28 May 1926. The competition categories included elocution (speech and drama), dance and music (both vocal and instrumental). Most entrants were children or young people. In addition to listing the events and names of competitors, the programme includes many advertisements for local businesses.
