The Chief Post Office was built on the corner of Main Street west in 1905-1906. Behind, on Main Street west, can be seen the old wooden Post Office that was moved back to this site to allow the new Post Office to be built on The Square. Later the Post Office was extended down this side, and the clock tower removed in 1942. It is listed as being a "F G R. Postcard no. 134."
