Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 07 August 1961 "Messrs. C. Payne (kneeling) and G.M. Barlow yesterday altered the city skyline with futuristic wires and pipes - a television aerial. To make life more pleasant as they worked on the roof of a city store they listened to a transistor radio while making the last connections to the television mast."
