Palmerston North held celebrations to mark the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. The procession started in The Square and was followed by a ceremony performed at the Showgrounds. Here we see returned soliders and other men's and women's groups parading around the corner of Coleman Place and The Square.
