Description

Furniture Services Ltd was located at 124 Rangitikei Street, with Porter Motors Ltd's temporary premises next door. Porter Motors originally traded as Fowler & Porter but separated into two entities in 1935. In 1976 the company opened a new building with repair bays and and a spare parts department on Tremaine Avenue, and in 1980 added a CNG supply facility. In 1971 Porter Motors was sold to the Shelley Group, who onsold the 62 employee company February 1982.
