Former Australia New Zealand bank, corner of The Square and Coleman Place
- Description
This brick building was constructed in 1911 for the Union Bank of Australia. It amalgamated with the Bank of Australia to form the ANZ in 1951. The building was extensively altered in 1925, 1956 and 1982, when a verandah was added. It remained the Palmerston North ANZ Bank until 1982. It is currently a bar and café and is a listed heritage building (2008).
