The Christian Centre was run by two full-time elders, and had an open door policy for those in need. It provided 'spiritual counselling', as well as a doctor, a 24 hour telephone service, “Crisis Call’ maintained by volunteers, and a Friday night coffee bar. The Christian Centre began in Palmerston North.
