This was the home of Eliot Warburton, pictured here with two of his daughters, Maud left and Mollie. G H Eliot Warburton came to Palmerston North in 1875 at the age of 27 and practised as a lawyer for some years. He lived here permanently until his death in 1922, apart from his trip to England from late 1898 to early 1903. He married Miss Budd in 1882. Mollie (Agnes) Warburton later became Mrs Abraham.
