'Sunny View", 63 Karina Terrace
- Description
“Ratiro” or ‘Sunny View’ was built c1928 on an acre of land given to Mr. & Mrs J.E.L. Gardner as a wedding present by Mr Gardner’s parents. The plans for the house were given to the couple by Stanley Natusch, an architect who was best man at the wedding and a distant relative. The house comprises of more than 12 rooms, is built of double brick painted with white sludge. The first floor is made of poured concrete. The house stayed in the Gardner family until 1981.
