This is the programme for the Forty-First Annual Festival of the Manawatū Competitions Society, which was held at the Opera House, Concert Chamber, Operatic Society Hall and Saint Paul's Hall between 9 May and 15 May 1964. The competition categories included elocution (speech and drama), dance and music (both vocal and instrumental). Most entrants were children or young people. In addition to listing the events and names of competitors, the programme features advertisements for local businesses.
