This is the programme for the Thirtieth Annual Festival of the Manawatū Competitions Society, which was held in the Technical School Hall, All Saints' Hall and St. Andrew's Hall between 11 and 16 May 1953. The competition categories included elocution (speech and drama), dance and music (both vocal and instrumental). Most entrants were children or young people.
