The Grand Hotel was built in 1906. Here it is seen decorated for the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York, who stayed overnight in the hotel. Crowds line the streets to see the Royal couple. The tower was later removed. Today the building serves as a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, with offices above.
