Rowe house, Rongotea
- Description
Charles Nicholas Rowe arrived in the Rongotea District in 1874, establishing a sawmill in what is known as Rowe’s Line. This large house was built from timber supplied from the mill and was probably constructed during the 1880s. It is still standing today on the property on D B Rowe; grandson of C N Rowe, but the top storey has been removed.
